/Deliberative Democracy and The Case for Depoliticising Government
Abstract

A deliberative democracy is non-arbitrary, its various bodies establishing an effective republic and it can thrive in Australia only by increasing the depoliticisation of the government through roles given to professional commissions in determining political boundaries. Popular and political control need to be restricted and a regime under which depoliticised bodies make decisions on certain matters of common interest is required.
