Reliability theory, probabilistic modeling, and risk management are tools that allow for deter-mining the probability of correct operation under specific times and conditions, better under-standing complex real-world systems by accounting for their variability, and reducing project risk to optimal levels. This study examines the application of reliability theory to create a robust methodological framework for assessing the reliability of agroecosystems and their supporting construction and environmental infrastructure. This approach enables a deeper understanding of the inherent potential of current agricultural production systems, including storage, technical and water-management infrastructure. Furthermore, it considers maintaining ecological balance within reasonable limits, providing a solid foundation for defining tactical actions in this regard and aligning with the concept of sustainable development in civil and environmental engineering.
