Summary In 2001, the Department of Scientific Information of the National Library of Serbia initiated the establishment of KoBSON (Consortium of Libraries of Serbia for Unified Acquisition), intending to optimize the acquisition of foreign scientific information, transitioning from print to electronic publications, improving access to electronic resources, and promoting domestic scientific publishing. Today, 25 years after KoBSON’s founding, the Department’s activities remain focused on achieving and advancing these original goals. This paper provides an overview of their realization through a presentation of the most frequently used services that the Department offers to researchers in Serbia. Additionally, the paper describes the collaboration in providing assistance and support to scientific publishing in Serbia.
