Orbis International Brings the Flying Eye Hospital to Mongolia to Train Local Eye Care Teams

With support from the Alcon Foundation, FedEx, and OMEGA, the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital returns to Mongolia for a three-week training project in Ulaanbaatar.

ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia, Aug. 5, 2024 — From August 4 to 22, 2024, global eye care nonprofit Orbis International, with an invitation from the Mongolia Ministry of Health, is conducting a three-week training project on board the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital, the world's only fully accredited ophthalmic teaching hospital on a plane. With continuing support from corporate sponsors the Alcon Foundation, FedEx, and OMEGA, the project aims to build the skills of local eye care teams, strengthen the ability of partner hospitals to deliver care, and raise awareness about eye health in Mongolia.
