VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT
TRANSCENTA REPORTS RECEIPT OF HICB OUT-LICENSING
MILESTONE PAYMENT AND STEADY CDMO BUSINESS GROWTH
This announcement is made by Transcenta Holding Limited (the "Company" or "Transcenta") on a voluntary basis to inform the shareholders and potential investors of the Company about the latest business update. Capitalized terms used herein but not otherwise defined shall have the same meaning ascribed thereto in the prospectus of the Company dated September 14, 2021.
The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") is pleased to announce the receipt of a milestone payment of RMB 7 million from its HiCB (highly intensified continuous bioprocessing) platform out-licensing, alongside significant progress in its CDMO business.
Following the strategic collaboration and non-exclusive licensing agreement with EirGenix Inc. ("EirGenix") (TWSE: 6589) executed in late 2025, and receipt of the associated upfront payment,
the two companies have achieved significant technical milestones, triggering the first milestone payment. To date, Transcenta has successfully completed key deliverables. The collaboration is steadily advancing toward implementing the HiCB technology for GMP production at EirGenix's facility.
To drive further commercialization of the HiCB platform, Transcenta recently appointed its former Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Dr. Christopher Hwang, as Head of Global Partnerships for the HiCB platform, where he will lead the global technology out-licensing strategy and oversee platform implementation. Under his leadership, Transcenta will continue to scale this non-exclusive licensing model, which allows the Company to retain full technology ownership while generating revenue from licensing fees, customized CHO culture medium optimization service, and ongoing medium supply, with proceeds reinvested into platform upgrading and the core R&D pipeline.
Concurrently, Transcenta is making steady progress in its CDMO business. The Company has recently signed new service contracts of GMP Drug Substance (DS) production for complex
biologics using its HiCB processes for bioprocessing technology, as well as GMP Drug Product (DP) manufacturing for siRNA projects. Transcenta is also currently negotiating contracts for additional high-potential projects, including integrated IND development projects, siRNA GMP DP production, developability assessments, and material generation for global clients.
As the HiCB out-licensing program gains traction and the CDMO business continues to expand, Transcenta remains well-positioned to drive sustainable growth and deliver long-term value to its partners and shareholders.
