VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT

RECEIPT OF US$1.2 BILLION UPFRONT PAYMENT UNDER THE STRATEGIC COLLABORATION AND LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH ASTRAZENECA FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE LONG-ACTING PEPTIDE MEDICINES

Reference is made to the announcement of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Limited (the 'Company', together with its subsidiaries, the 'Group') dated 30 January 2026 in relation to the entering into of the strategic collaboration and license agreement (the 'Agreement') between the Group and

AstraZeneca (the 'Announcement'). Unless otherwise defined herein, capitalised terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as defined in the Announcement.

As disclosed in the Announcement, the Group entered into the Agreement with AstraZeneca to develop innovative long-acting peptide medicines, utilising the Group's proprietary sustained-release delivery technology platform and AI-driven peptide drug discovery platform, and will (among others) receive an upfront payment of US$1.2 billion pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.

The Board is pleased to announce that the Group has received the aforesaid upfront payment of US$1.2 billion from AstraZeneca on 29 May 2026 (after trading hours). The receipt of such upfront payment will make positive contribution to the financial position of the Group. Currently, the collaboration between both parties is progressing smoothly.

The development, manufacturing and commercialisation of the relevant licensed products are subject to uncertainties. Shareholders and potential investors of the Company are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the securities of the Company. The Company will make further announcement(s) as and when appropriate to disclose material developments in relation to the Agreement.
