INSILICO MEDICINE AND SK BIOPHARMACEUTICALS ACHIEVED AI-POWERED R&D COLLABORATION WORTH UP TO
USD2.5 BILLION FOR NEUROIMMUNE DISORDERS
This announcement is made by InSilico Medicine Cayman TopCo (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group" or "Insilico Medicine") on a voluntary basis to inform the shareholders and potential investors of the Company about the latest business updates of the Group.
The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") is pleased to announce that Insilico Medicine and SK Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. ("SK Biopharmaceuticals") have entered into a research and development collaboration to discover AI-enabled innovative drug candidates in the neuroimmune area of the central nervous system (the "Collaboration").
In this Collaboration, Insilico Medicine will leverage its proprietary Pharma.AI platform, which spans target validation, generative chemistry, and molecule optimization, together with its preclinical drug discovery expertise to discover, design, and optimize novel candidates for neuroimmune indications. SK Biopharmaceuticals will contribute its extensive development and clinical capabilities in neuroimmune disorders, steering the late-stage development and commercialization of all resulting programs.
Under the terms of the relevant agreement, Insilico Medicine will be eligible to receive up to USD18 million in upfront and near-term milestone payments. The total potential deal value exceeds USD2.5 billion, including development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments, as well as single-digit royalties on net sales upon commercialization of products.
