Good news | Genuine Biotech won the "2022 Biotechnology Innovation Award" in China Times' annual selection

Recently, the winners of China Times’ 2022 Golden Cane Award were announced, and Genuine Biotech won the “Annual Biotechnology Innovation Award”.

The Golden Cane Award was initiated by China Times, a central-level comprehensive media. More than 400 companies participated in this selection. After six months of application, nomination, online voting and final evaluation by an expert committee, the winners were finally announced.

Azivudine is China’s first oral small molecule novel coronavirus infection treatment drug with completely independent intellectual property rights. It was conditionally approved for marketing by the State Food and Drug Administration on July 25, 2022. On August 9, 2022, the General Office of the National Health Commission and the Office of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine included Azivudine in the "New Coronavirus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Plan (Ninth Edition)", and the National Medical Insurance Bureau also included Azivudine in medical insurance. On January 6, 2023, Azivudine was once again included in the 10th edition of the "Diagnosis and Treatment Plan for Novel Coronavirus Infection". Since August 2022, Azivudine has been successively distributed to 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country. On January 9, 2023, Genuine Biotech and Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. donated 100 million yuan worth of the COVID-19 oral drug Azivudine to rural areas in China through the Shanghai Fosun Charity Foundation. This batch of medicines will be donated in stages to rural areas in the central and western regions, covering 180 counties.
