Avellino Labs names Jon Robson as new CEO
Avellino Labs, a U.S. gene therapy and molecular diagnostics company, said that it has appointed Jon Robson as its new CEO.

"CEO Robson will help the company innovate and grow by integrating machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data with Avellino's expertise in genetics," the company said. "Also, Robson will curate the genetic database to develop a variety of diagnostics and treatments to help patients achieve better clinical treatment outcomes."
Jon Robson has rich experience creating value from data and analytics, from early-stage technology companies to large multinational data companies. Before joining Avellino, he founded and ran Moneyline Telerate, President of Reuters Americas, Thomson Reuters Enterprise Division, NYSE Technologies, First Derivatives plc, and Capital Markets Division at DXC Luxoft.

Avellino will build a robust genetic database in the future and focus on developing and incorporating the latest technologies into gene-based diagnosis and treatment systems, Lee added.
Avellino Labs is a company in gene therapy and molecular diagnosis that focuses on precision medicine in the treatment of ophthalmic diseases.
Under the long-term mission of improving health and disease management through gene analysis and advancing customized medical services, the company is expanding its gene diagnostic product line and developing gene therapy using CRISPR gene scissors technology.
The company has recently been striving to test and treat genetic diseases and better prevent and manage diseases.
The company developed the Avellino SARS-2 RT-PCR diagnostic test, a Covid-19 diagnostic kit in line with such goals. As a result, it became the third private company to receive emergency use authorization (EUA) for a Covid-19 test from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
