The Health Development Contribution Medal was conferred by Minister Chinburen Jigjidsuren at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Health in Ulaanbaatar on Oct. 22. The following day, Odgerel Mashbat, Director of the Mongolian Health Development Institute, awarded the Honorary Medal at Mongolia's Second Hospital.
As a surgical specialist, Vice President Jeong has saved the lives of numerous patients over the past decade by traveling to and from Mongolia to treat hepatobiliary diseases and perform liver transplant surgeries. He has also consistently contributed to enhancing medical cooperation and academic exchange between the two countries through overseas training programs for Mongolian medical personnel, medical volunteer activities, and the joint hosting of Korea-Mongolia academic conferences and hepatobiliary conferences.
“The past decade of growing alongside Mongolian medical professionals has been a valuable time of mutual development through shared experiences,” Vice President Jeong said. “Moving forward, Myongji Hospital will spare no effort to provide tangible support for enhancing the health of citizens not only in Mongolia but also in countries worldwide.”
