VUNO to host 1st global AI patient-safety summit in Seoul this February
VUNO will bring global healthcare leaders together at its "Global Patient Safety Summit 2026," to be held Feb. 7 next year at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, the company said Wednesday.
The event, themed “Next-Generation Patient Care: AI-Based EWS Across the Globe,” marks the first-ever global patient safety symposium hosted by a Korean medical AI company and serves as a landmark platform to advance international dialogue on AI-driven patient care.

Building on this theme, the symposium is designed to broadly discuss the clinical effectiveness of AI-based Early Warning Systems (EWS) for the early detection of severe patient deterioration and enhanced safety. Sponsored by the International Society for Rapid Response System (iSRRS), the event aims to spur comprehensive dialogue.
To enrich these conversations, critical care medicine specialists, relevant medical personnel, government and public institution officials, and international experts affiliated with iSRRS will participate both online and offline.
“We plan to invite authorities in critical care medicine and patient safety systems worldwide to share best practices from various countries, as well as the latest insights on the value of introducing AI-based EWS,” VUNO said. “Additionally, we will present meaningful research results from DeepCARS, now in its fourth year of domestic implementation, to showcase the level of Korean medical AI and the clinical efficacy of DeepCARS.”
Key speakers include Professor Bryan Williams of University College London, who led the development of the U.K.'s national Early Warning Score; Professor Jean-Louis Vincent of Erasme Hospital in Belgium, a globally recognized authority in critical care medicine; and Professor Michael A. DeVita of NYC Health + Hospitals, author of the seminal textbook on rapid response systems.
VUNO will sequentially release the detailed program and highlight sessions.
