Myungin Pharm has secured the winning bid to acquire all Paxroya Capsule assets, a Parkinson’s disease treatment, from Israel-based Pharma Two B (P2B).

The company participated in a competitive bidding process for the assets and ownership rights on Oct. 20, 2025. Last Tuesday, Myungin Pharm received a final ruling from the Tel Aviv District Court confirming it as the successful bidder for the acquisition and transfer of all Paxroya Capsule assets from P2B.

The Tel Aviv District Court’s decision consolidated all rights related to the Paxroya Capsule assets under Myungin Pharm. As a result, Myungin Pharm now leads the global advancement of Paxroya Capsule, including development, regulatory approval, and commercialization.

The core of the acquisition is the clear attribution of global intellectual property (IP) ownership. All rights to three patents registered in 15 countries—including the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Korea, Japan, and China—will transfer to Myungin Pharm.

In addition, rights to key intangible assets—including trademarks registered in Israel and the U.S., the official website domain, and all development data, including clinical trial data—will also be transferred to Myungin Pharm. This establishes a unified global IP portfolio under Myungin Pharm, integrating patents, trademarks, and data.

The transfer of intangible assets goes beyond a simple rights assignment, the company said. Myungin Pharm has secured a comprehensive package enabling immediate use of accumulated data and know-how from the R&D process for further development of Paxroya Capsule, formulation of regulatory approval strategies, and advancement of global business operations.

“The court’s approval clarifies rights ownership and brings all IP under Myungin Pharm’s unified framework,” Myungin Pharm CEO Lee Hang-myung said. “We will now accelerate Paxroya Capsule’s global business and pursue partnerships and license-out agreements.”

Myungin Pharm has established the technological and production foundation needed to execute this strategy. Paxroya Capsule is a pellet formulation manufactured using fluid bed granulator (FBG) equipment supplied by Germany-based Glatt. It features a sustained-release coating for rasagiline and pramipexole, the drug’s key active ingredients for Parkinson’s disease treatment. The pellet formulation enables precise control of drug release, enhancing absorption efficiency while minimizing side effects.

Myungin Pharm has submitted the world’s first application for product approval of Paxroya Capsule to Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Following domestic approval, the company plans to manufacture the finished product at its Balan Second Pellet Plant, currently under construction in Gyeonggi Province, for its global contract manufacturing organization (CMO) business and export to overseas markets.
