Merz's Xeomin ranks 1st in botulinum toxin imports in Korea for 7 consecutive years

With this latest data, Xeomin has maintained the top position in domestic import performance for seven consecutive years, confirming its leadership in the Korean aesthetic medical field.

As the scope of botulinum toxin use expands and trends shift toward repeated procedures and long-term management, the importance of resistance management is growing.

Within this market environment, Xeomin has built trust through purification technology and consistent quality based on scientific evidence.

Xeomin is a botulinum toxin product that removes complexing proteins through the rigorous purification technology of Merz.

It contains only the 150 kDa active neurotoxin, which minimizes the potential for developing resistance. The product uses human serum albumin and sucrose as excipients to reduce immune responses and maintain the stability of the active toxin protein during manufacturing, storage, dilution, and administration.

Since receiving European Medicines Agency approval in 2005, Xeomin has gained approval in 81 countries. The product has supplied more than 35 million vials and been used for the treatment of more than 20 million patients globally. Since its launch in Korea in 2009, it has been available in 50 unit and 100 unit doses, allowing for flexible use depending on the clinical environment.
