Prolia biosimilar Stoboclo, co-marketed by Daewoong, tops ₩10 bil. in sales in 10 months
Daewoong Pharmaceutical said Thursday that Stoboclo (denosumab), a Prolia biosimilar co-marketed with Celltrion Pharm, has surpassed 10 billion won ($6.5 million) in cumulative sales less than one year after its launch in March last year.
Stoboclo, the first Korean biosimilar of Prolia, is indicated for osteoporosis. It offers a more affordable option than the original drug while improving convenience and safety.

Stoboclo is designed so that the needle automatically retracts into the body of the syringe after injection, reducing the risk of needlestick injuries. The needle cap is designed without latex components, allowing patients with allergies to use it safely.
Storage and distribution stability have also been significantly improved. Stoboclo has been formulated to remain stable at room temperature (up to 30°C) for up to 63 days. This represents an approximately fourfold increase in shelf life compared to existing products, reducing the risk of drug degradation caused by improper handling during storage and distribution.
“Stoboclo’s strong first-year sales reflect its quality and differentiated marketing strategy,” said Park Hyung-chul, Head of the ETC Marketing Division at Daewoong Pharmaceutical. “We remain committed to offering affordable, high-quality osteoporosis treatment.”
