2. Research and development of new veterinary drugs

Newcastle disease, avian influenza (H9 subtype), avian adenovirus disease (group I, type 4), infectious bursal disease quadruple inactivated vaccine (La Sota strain + TA strain + LC strain + VP2 Protein) is a national Class III new veterinary drug jointly developed by the company and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Qingdao Animal Health National Engineering Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., Qingdao Weilan Animal Health Group Co., Ltd., Qingdao Yibang Bioengineering Co., Ltd., Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences Poultry Research Institute, and Haowei Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

This product has undergone laboratory research, clinical trials, and new veterinary drug registration. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has recently announced the issuance of a new veterinary drug registration certificate. A total of RMB 2.105 million has been invested in R&D expenses for the development of this product.

3. Market background related to new veterinary drugs

my country's poultry breeding industry has entered a new stage of scale and intensification. In 2025, the proportion of large-scale breeding of broilers and laying hens will reach approximately 78% and 75% respectively. The national poultry population has stabilized at approximately 6.5 billion birds, providing a broad and stable demand base for the veterinary vaccine market. Newcastle disease, avian influenza (H9 subtype), avian adenovirus disease (group I, type 4), and infectious bursal disease are the four core diseases that are currently the most harmful. They are often highly prevalent and prone to superimposed epidemics. When multiple diseases are combined, the mortality rate and economic losses increase significantly.

At the policy level, the industry's prevention and control foundation continues to be strengthened. The country has successively improved systems such as the Animal Epidemic Prevention Law and the Measures for the Operation and Management of Veterinary Biological Products, strengthened the requirements for compulsory immunization against major epidemic diseases, and the poultry compulsory immunization coverage rate has stabilized at more than 95%. It has implemented record review of bacterial (virus) species changes for easily mutable pathogens, encouraged enterprises to carry out adaptive research and development around popular strains, and provided clear compliance paths and research and development guidelines for multi-linked and precision products. With the increase in scale and the advancement of centralized procurement, the demand for multi-conjugate vaccines with "reduced needles, increased efficiency, simplified procedures, and more stable protection" by breeding entities has grown rapidly. The market competition for similar quadruple inactivated vaccines is still insufficient. As of the end of 2025, only a few companies have obtained approval numbers, and there is a structural gap on the supply side.

The research and development of this quadruple inactivated vaccine accurately meets the industry needs of "reducing needles and increasing efficiency". It not only responds to the guidance of national disease prevention and control policies, but also makes up for the functional shortcomings of traditional vaccines. It is expected to take an advantage in the centralized procurement of large-scale breeding groups and provide key support for the high-quality development of the poultry breeding industry.

Up to now, the company has not been able to inquire about the sales status and market share of similar products circulating in the market from public channels.

4. Procedures that still need to be performed before new veterinary drugs are put on the market

In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Regulations on the Administration of Veterinary Drugs", the "Measures for the Management of Veterinary Drug Product Approval Numbers", veterinary drug products must also obtain a veterinary drug product approval number issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs before being put on the market.

5. Impact of successful development of new veterinary drugs on the company

The acquisition of the new veterinary drug certificate is the result of the company's continued emphasis on technological innovation and increased investment in research and development. It further reflects the company's innovation capabilities, enriches the company's product categories, and is also the result of the company's active promotion of technology marketization. It is expected to bring new performance growth points to the company's business.

Announcement is hereby made.
