InnoCare Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Announces Dosing of the First Patient in Phase II/III Trial of Novel TYK2 Inhibitor Soficitinib for the Treatment of Vitiligo

(Hong Kong Stock Exchange Code: 09969; Shanghai Stock Exchange Code: 688428), a biomedical high-tech company, announced today that the first patient in the Phase II/III clinical trial of the company's independently developed TYK2 inhibitor Soficitinib (ICP-332) for the treatment of non-segmental vitiligo has been completed in China.
ICP-332 is a Class 1 innovative drug with global independent intellectual property rights of InnoCare Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is a highly efficient and highly selective new oral TYK2 inhibitor. It is developed to treat various T cell-related autoimmune diseases, including vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, prurigo nodularis, etc., and has broad market prospects. TYK2 is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that belongs to the Janus kinase (JAK) family. It is an important kinase in the JAK-STAT signaling pathway and plays an important role in the pathogenesis of inflammation.
Vitiligo is a disease in which skin melanocytes are destroyed, causing a lack of melanin in the skin and forming local white spots. The global prevalence of vitiligo is approximately 0.5~2% [1] . Vitiligo is a chronic disease that requires long-term treatment. The goals of vitiligo treatment are to control the development of skin lesions, promote repigmentation of white spots, and maintain treatment to prevent further depigmentation.
