The Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health has announced that the 2026/27 Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Subsidy Scheme will be launched on September 17. Eligible Hong Kong residents can receive free influenza vaccination.

As one of the government-recognized service providers, Yingjian Medical Center will provide free influenza vaccination services to eligible persons at all Yingjian Medical Centers. The following eligible* people who have successfully registered for eHealth can receive government-subsidized influenza vaccination for this year: - People aged 50 or above - Hong Kong secondary school students aged 6 months to under 18 years old or over 18 years old but still studying - Pregnant women - People with intellectual disabilities - People receiving disability allowance from the Social Welfare Department - People receiving the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme's standard rate category of "disability reaching 100%" or "requiring constant care" - Chronically ill people aged 18 to 49

*Other people can also make an appointment to receive the seasonal influenza vaccine at their own expense after consulting their family doctor. According to the Department of Health, influenza vaccination can effectively prevent seasonal influenza and its complications.
