  1. Training goals and platform positioning

Fudan University and Guangzhou Innogen Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. jointly built an "artificial intelligence + biomedicine" postdoctoral training platform to cultivate comprehensive innovative talents with AI computational thinking, metabolic disease mechanism research capabilities and practical experience in drug transformation in line with the national metabolic disease prevention and control and biomedicine innovation strategies.

Guangzhou Innogen Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. focuses on the research and development of innovative drugs for metabolic diseases. The independently developed isupaglutide α has been successfully launched. It is the first new-generation human-derived ultra-long-acting GLP-1 drug in Asia and the third in the world.   1. Expert Steering Group

Postdoctoral fellows will be jointly guided by multidisciplinary experts from “medicine-engineering-pharmacy-computing”; the guiding experts include:

  • Professor Wang Qinghua (Founder of Guangzhou Innogen Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd.) is a nationally appointed professor, the inventor of isupaglutide α and a number of innovative macromolecule drugs, and has long been a leader in translational medical research and industrialization of metabolic diseases.
  • Professor Dou Dejing (Fudan University) is a national leading talent, an internationally renowned expert in the field of health artificial intelligence, and one of the top 2% lifelong scientific influential scholars in the world. He provides cutting-edge AI methodological guidance for projects.
  • Professor Yu Lin (Fudan University) An authority in the field of biomedical materials and drug delivery, supporting the engineering and formulation optimization of drug candidates.
  1. Job Responsibilities
  • Carry out target discovery, macromolecule drug design and mechanism research related to metabolic diseases.
  • Develop and optimize AI/machine learning models to solve key scientific issues in drug development for metabolic diseases.
  • Conduct protein engineering and druggability optimization research to enhance the development potential of drug candidates.
  • Participate in the analysis and translational research of real clinical trials and multi-omics data.
  • Participate in the construction of database and algorithm platforms to promote efficient use of R&D data.
  • Publish high-quality papers, apply for patents, and participate in domestic and foreign academic exchanges.
  1. Candidate qualifications

Prerequisites:

  • Obtained or about to obtain a doctoral degree in the past 3 years, majoring in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, AI/computing, bioinformatics, molecular/cell biology and other related fields.
  • Strong interest in metabolic disease research or AI-enabled drug development.
  • Have good scientific research ability, interdisciplinary communication skills and teamwork spirit.
  • Have good English reading and writing skills and scientific research output.

Priority conditions:

  • Experience with AI/ML-assisted drug design, bioinformatics, or clinical data analysis.
  • Ability to program in Python/R.
  • Experience in metabolic diseases, diabetes, obesity and other related topics.
