May 4th Youth Day is the time to strive. Students from Jinhua Vocational and Technical University walked into the Zhejiang Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Organic Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Garden and immersed themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese medicine culture. They held a solemn apprenticeship ceremony to learn from Zhu Weidong, a national model worker and base director, and issued letters of appointment on the spot. They paid tribute to youth with ingenuity and inheritance, and empowered growth through the integration of industry and education.

At the Zhejiang Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Organic Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Garden, the students walked into core areas such as the Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Center, the cultivation greenhouse, and the Herb Garden to observe the entire process of organic cultivation, growth management and maintenance of precious Chinese medicinal materials such as Ganoderma lucidum and Dendrobium officinale. They also learned in detail about Zhejiang Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.’s practical achievements in germplasm innovation, organic planting, and the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage processing techniques.

From the world's leading biological breeding technology to the organic planting standard of "no pesticides and no chemical fertilizers"; from the century-old inheritance of the national intangible cultural heritage "Zhejiang Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Traditional Chinese Medicine Processing Techniques" to the quality insistence of five-layer organic certification, every detail allows students to deeply appreciate the profoundness of traditional Chinese medicine culture and Zhejiang Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Ltd.’s persistence in craftsmanship has inspired everyone’s enthusiasm to devote themselves to the cause of traditional Chinese medicine and inherit the quintessence of Chinese culture.

At the study site, a solemn and warm apprenticeship ceremony was held as scheduled. With a heart of reverence, the students dressed up, performed the apprenticeship ceremony, and submitted the apprenticeship certificate. They expressed their admiration and ambition to study to Director Zhu Weidong, and made a youthful promise to "obey the teacher's training, study diligently, inherit the ingenuity, and practice diligently." At the ceremony, Jinhua Vocational and Technical University issued a letter of appointment to Zhu Weidong, establishing a new platform of "school-enterprise collaboration, master-apprentice pairing, and practical education."

Director Zhu Weidong is a "great country craftsman" who has been involved in the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine for more than 30 years. He is a national model worker and a national forestry and grassland expert. He has grown from an ordinary planter to a "guardian of grass jelly" and has spent his life deeply interpreting the craftsmanship spirit of "choose one thing and spend your whole life". He sent a message to young students: "The inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine lies in perseverance and practice. I hope that everyone will use ingenuity as a sail and hard work as an oar, concentrate on learning technology and study the profession, write papers in the fields, and integrate youth into the great cause of revitalizing and developing traditional Chinese medicine."
