In this strategic cooperation, both parties will give full play to their respective resource advantages to provide Chinese patients with urgent clinical drug needs with advanced foreign treatment options. At the same time, they will actively explore the application prospects of real-world data research for the registration of innovative drugs in China, and promote international and domestic exchanges of diagnosis and treatment experience in the treatment of major diseases such as oncology, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, hematology, transplantation, and rare diseases, so as to enhance the experience and skill level of medical and health professionals in relevant treatment fields, so that breakthrough results brought about by global innovative drug research and development can benefit Chinese patients as soon as possible and contribute to the construction of a healthy China.
In June 2020, the "Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port" was officially released, and the Boao Lecheng Pilot Area became a pioneer "test field" for the construction of a contemporary free trade port with Chinese characteristics. Gu Gang, director of the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration, said: “Boao Lecheng, as an important pilot zone for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Pilot Zone and a free trade port with Chinese characteristics, is committed to achieving the ‘three synchronizations’ of medical technology, equipment, and drugs with international advanced levels.
