A display apparatus includes a first connection interface connected to a source device, a second connection interface connected to a sound output device, a first controller that performs a first lip sync adjustment for video output and audio output using a first data channel of the first connection interface, a second controller that performs a second lip sync adjustment for the video output and the audio output using a second data channel of the second connection interface, and a main controller that identifies the first lip sync adjustment performed by the first controller or the second lip sync adjustment performed by the second controller, based on whether the source device supports the first lip sync adjustment through the first data channel.
