The user device is associated with a home automation system that is configured at a home or office. The user device may be in a location other than the primary location associated with the home automation system. The user device may send a message to update the location of the home automation system. The transmission of the update message is restricted to be sent using a specific technology, e.g., using Wi-Fi®.
