Abstract
A force impact reducing and force impact distributing (FI/FD) includes first and second layers. The first layer includes a first plurality of FI/FD cells and the second layer includes a second plurality of FI/FD cells. The second layer is positioned with respect to the first layer such that, from a perpendicular perspective, the base of one of the first plurality of FI/FD cells aligns with the tops of a set of FI/FD cells of the second plurality of FI/FD cells. When the force is applied to the one of the first plurality of FI/FD cells, the force is further reduced and further distributed by the set of FI/FD cells of the second plurality of FI/FD cells.

What is claimed is:
A force impact reducing and force impact distributing (FI/FD) includes first and second layers. The first layer includes a first plurality of FI/FD cells and the second layer includes a second plurality of FI/FD cells.
