A composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, a titanium compound, and an alkali metal compound, wherein at least a portion of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is derived from biomass, and a mass ratio of a content of the alkali metal compound in terms of metal to a content of the titanium compound in terms of metal is from 500 to 280000 is provided as a composition excellent in thermal stability.

What is claimed is:
