In one aspect, the vaporizer device can include a cartridge that can include a heating element having a first region, a second region, and one or more cut-out regions between the first and second regions; and a vaporizer body having a receptacle configured to insertably receive at least a portion of the cartridge, at least one first inductive coil configured to generate a first magnetic and/or electromagnetic field to heat the first region, at least one second inductive coil configured to generate a second magnetic and/or electromagnetic field to heat the second region, and a controller configured to independently apply power to the at least one first inductive coil and the at least one second inductive coil. Heating assemblies and methods of manufacturing thereof are also provided.
