Abstract
Methods for video decoding and encoding, apparatuses and non-transitory storage media are provided. The method for video decoding includes: obtaining, by a decoder, a plurality of first motion vectors of a plurality of sub-blocks of a current block, based on a subblock-based temporal motion vector prediction (SbTMVP) mode; deriving, by the decoder, a set of linear model parameters by inputting the plurality of first motion vectors and a plurality of center positions of the plurality of sub-blocks into a linear regression process; and obtaining, by the decoder, a plurality of predictions of the plurality of sub-blocks based on the set of linear model parameters.

What is claimed is:
Methods for video decoding and encoding, apparatuses and non-transitory storage media are provided.
