Abstract

An example method of video coding includes receiving a video bitstream comprising a plurality of encoded frames, and deriving, according to a frame-level interpolation mode, a reconstructed frame. The method also includes deriving a second reconstructed frame, where the second reconstructed frame is derived without applying the frame-level interpolation mode. When a signaled indicator has a first value, a decoded frame is derived by applying one or more filters to the reconstruction frame, the one or more filters being applied with a first set of filter parameters. When the signaled indicator has a second value, the decoded frame is derived without applying the one or more filters to the reconstruction frame. The method further includes deriving a second decoded frame corresponding to the second encoded frame by applying the one or more filters to the second reconstructed frame.

What is claimed is:
