The present disclosure relates to a card socket and an electronic device. The card socket includes a housing, a card connector, a card tray, and a clamping mechanism. In embodiments of the present disclosure, the card tray comprises a card slot that has at least a shorter side and a longer side, and an extension direction of the shorter side of the card slot is the same as an insertion direction of the card tray. In embodiments of the present disclosure, a first clamping member and the housing are of a separate structure, and the first clamping member is fastened to the housing through assembly.
