One example method includes: receiving first indication information, wherein the first indication information indicates a first quasi co-location (QCL) relationship; and determining, based on the first QCL relationship, at least one of the following: a beam set used for at least one of model training or model inference, wherein an element of the first QCL relationship comprises an identifier of the beam set; or a plurality of optimal beams in a model prediction result.
