The instructions, when executed by the processor, instruct the electronic device to: establish a first communication link with an external electronic device; transmit first synchronization information for BIS synchronization with a source electronic device to the external electronic device via the first communication link; determine that the BIS synchronization has ended in the external electronic device that was synchronized with the source electronic device; perform a scan to receive extended advertising (EA) data of the source electronic device on the basis of the termination of the BIS synchronization in the external electronic device; and transmit, to the external electronic device via the first communication link, second synchronization information regarding the source electronic device obtained from the EA data so that the external electronic device can synchronize with the source electronic device.
