Abstract
A method for producing a glass, the method including: obtaining a mixture; and heating the mixture at a temperature of 700° C. or higher, in which the mixture contains a glass powder containing at least one heavy metal oxide selected from the group consisting of Sb2O3, PbO, and As2O3, a reducing agent, and a liquid medium, and the reducing agent is dissolved in the liquid medium.

What is claimed is:
