The method includes acquiring a historical brushing record at least including first historical brushing data corresponding to a first historical brushing cycle and second historical brushing data corresponding to a second historical brushing cycle; comparing the first historical brushing data with the second historical brushing data to obtain at least one first comparison result; when the at least one first comparison result is within at least one first preset range, determining that a required brushing strategy of a toothbrush is a first brushing strategy; and when the at least one first comparison result is not within the first preset range, determining that the required brushing strategy of the toothbrush is a second brushing strategy. The method improves accuracy of the required brushing strategy and enhances intelligence of the toothbrush.
