A communication method, a communication apparatus, and a terminal are disclosed and applied to the field of communication technologies. In embodiments of this application, a first node may send a security protection parameter (for example, a key) of a first network to a second node in an encrypted sending manner, so that the second node can securely obtain the security protection parameter of the first network, thereby improving network availability. Further, before the first node sends the network key of the first network through encryption, the first node further needs to verify some transmitted information, that is, verify whether information transmitted between the two nodes is tampered with, to ensure that the information transmitted between the two nodes is accurate and is not attacked.
