The present invention relates to a cleansing composition containing (A) one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of N-acyl alanine having an acyl group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms and a salt thereof, (B) one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of fatty acid having 8 to 22 carbon atoms and a salt thereof, and (C) one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of alanine and a salt thereof, and having a content ratio of the aforementioned component (A), component (B), and component (C) [(A):(B):(C)] of 100:45 to 245:10 to 150 by weight. According to the present invention, a cleansing composition containing N-acyl neutral amino acid or a salt thereof can be provided, which is superior in foaming, foam quality, and a feeling of use, can impart a good moist feeling to the skin and hair after washing and drying, and further improves a frictional feeling after washing.
