An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole structure coupled to the upper. The sole structure includes an outsole that defines a ground engaging surface of the sole structure, a first cushioning member directly coupled to the upper, a second cushioning member disposed below the first cushioning member, and a sole plate disposed between the first cushioning member and the second cushioning member. The sole plate has an upper flange directly coupled to the first cushioning member and the second cushioning member, a lower flange directly coupled to the second cushioning member and the outsole, and an arched portion that is curved and connects the upper flange to the lower flange. A gap spaces the upper flange from the lower flange, and the gap includes a void space. The upper flange curves upward toward the upper, and the lower flange curves upward toward the upper.
