Abstract

A visual communication module includes a light bar configured to be disposed along a periphery of an eyeport of a helmet such that light emitted by the light bar is visible in a peripheral field of view of a user of the helmet; a communication interface configured to receive situational data from one or more sources related to riding/driving guidance for the user of the helmet; and a processing module configured to process the situational data and control the light bar to generate a riding/driving cue. The riding/driving cue comprises an emitted light sequence that extends along the light bar and includes one or more colors of light and a transition pattern progressing along a lateral direction of the light bar.

What is claimed is:

A visual communication module includes a light bar configured to be disposed along a periphery of an eyeport of a helmet such that light emitted by the light bar is visible in a peripheral field of view of a user of the helmet; a communication interface configured to receive situational data from one or more sources related to riding/driving guidance for the user of the helmet; and a processing module configured to process the situational data and control the light bar to generate a riding/driving cue.
