A method executed by an electronic device including a display, includes: identifying an input to a change in a size of a widget displayed on a screen of the display; changing the size of the widget based on the input; identifying a widget template object corresponding to the changed size of the widget and first attributes of one or more first objects included in the widget; relocating, based on the widget template object, the one or more first objects to a resized widget having the changed size; and displaying the resized widget including the one or more first relocated objects on the screen.
