A system and method for establishing a tunnel for a task. The method includes receiving a first request message from a task control function (TCF), where the first request message is associated with requesting that a task forward function (TFF) establish a tunnel for a first task, and the first task is associated with performance of a function completed through collaboration of multi-dimensional resources, sending, to the TCF, a first response message in response to the first request message, where the first response message comprises tunnel information of the TFF, wherein the TFF is a TFF associated with the first task, and receiving, from the TCF, tunnel information of an access network device associated with the first task.
