Abstract

Embodiments of the disclosure provide a solution for video processing. A method for video processing is proposed. The method includes: deriving, for a conversion between a video unit of a video and a bitstream of the video, a first set of local illumination compensation (LIC) parameters for the video unit based on spatial neighboring video units of the video unit or a template of the video unit; applying the first set of LIC parameters and a second set of LIC parameters during an illumination compensation associated with the video unit; and performing the conversion based on the illumination compensation.

What is claimed is:

Embodiments of the disclosure provide a solution for video processing. A method for video processing is proposed. The method includes: deriving, for a conversion between a video unit of a video and a bitstream of the video, a first set of local illumination compensation (LIC) parameters for the video unit based on spatial neighboring video units of the video unit or a template of the video unit; applying the first set of LIC parameters and a second set of LIC parameters during an illumination compensation associated with the video unit; and performing the conversion based on the illumination compensation.
