Novel crystalline forms of halide salts of 2,3-dimethyl-1,4-benzoquinone-5-decyl-triphenylphosphonium, such as the bromide, chloride, and iodide salts, are provided. Also provided are industrially feasible methods for manufacture of the crystalline forms with high purity.

What is claimed is:
