A charging system includes a charging pile and a vehicle-mounted charging connection apparatus used in an electric vehicle. The charging pile includes a charging device and a liquid cooling device. The charging device can output a direct current to the vehicle via the vehicle-mounted charging connection apparatus, and a liquid-phase coolant in the liquid cooling device can be transmitted to a thermal management system for a power battery in the electric vehicle via the vehicle-mounted charging connection apparatus, so that the coolant can be further transmitted to the thermal management system for the battery while the battery of the electric vehicle is charged at a high power, to help meet a heat dissipation requirement of the battery during high-power charging. Therefore, the electric vehicle can be charged at a high power, to shorten the charging duration for the electric vehicle.
