A combination rake/refuse collector has a rake portion which collects leaves and other debris, and a handle portion with a hollow tube which holsters a rechargeable battery, and contains a mulching impeller, power switch and removable mulch-storage container. The mulching impeller sucks leaves collected by the rake portion through the hollow rake head and intake tube where they are shredded by the mulching impeller and exhausted into the attached mulch-storage container. The handle portion has motor cooling vents in its side to keep the electric battery-powered motor cool. The removable mulch storage container has small holes on its sides to allow exhaust air to exit to continue vacuum pressure, leaving mulched leaves inside. The invention moves all the parts the prior art of a rake/vacuum attached to a backpack containing the mulching impeller and storage bag, into a single, lightweight stand-alone battery-powered rake.
