Abstract
This application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. A terminal device may determine a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set identifier based on a determined first report configuration, and may determine a quantity m of SRS ports based on the SRS resource set identifier. The terminal device may send a first report. The first report is determined based on the first report configuration, the m SRS ports, and Q ports, and Q is greater than m. In this way, the terminal device may send SRSs through the m SRS ports, to avoid occupying a large quantity of time-frequency resources required for sending SRSs through the Q ports.

What is claimed is:
