A terminal is disclosed and includes a processor that determines, based on configuration information, whether to use a most recent one sensing occasion or most recent two sensing occasions, the most recent one sensing occasion and the most recent two sensing occasions corresponding to a configured periodicity, as k times of sensing occasions at a time point earlier than one or more candidate slots subject to resource selection, and that selects, based on a result of partial sensing in the determined k times of sensing occasions, a resource from among the one or more candidate slots. The terminal also includes a transmitter that transmits at least one of a control channel or a shared channel for inter-terminal communication by using the selected resource.
