A method for calibrating a vehicle audio system of a vehicle, the audio system having loudspeakers; a power-adjustable vehicle seat including a seat cushion, a seat backrest, a seat headrest, a microphone integrated in the seat headrest or upper region of the backrest, and at least one powered seat position actuator for enabling adjustment of the vehicle seat position; and a control system configured for controlling operation of the powered seat position actuator. The method includes: controlling the at least one powered seat position actuator to move the microphone of the vehicle seat to a plurality of different spatial positions, and registering, at each of said different spatial positions, microphone data received from the microphone while generating a calibration sound by means of a loudspeaker of the vehicle audio system; and calibrating the vehicle audio system based on the registered microphone data.
