An integrated robotic surgical system simulator and method for providing psychomotor memory exercises are provided. In one embodiment, a robotic surgical system user console is provided including a plurality of user input devices; a simulator configured to provide a simulation exercise; and a switch. When in clinical mode, the switch causes signals generated in response to user-manipulation of the plurality of user input devices to cause movement of robotic arms of the robotic surgical system. However, when in simulation mode, the switch causes signals generated in response to user-manipulation of the plurality of user input devices to be provided to the simulator for the simulation exercise but do not cause movement of robotic arms of the robotic surgical system.
