The invention relates to a method of treating optic neuritis comprising administering to a human in need thereof: (a) a first pharmaceutical composition comprising: or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof comprising at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient; in a therapeutically effective combination with (b) a second pharmaceutical composition of dimethyl fumarate or monomethyl fumarate, or a mixture thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, comprising at least one pharmaceutical excipient.
