Abstract
A rotary electric machine includes a rotor with magnetic poles of alternating polarity and a stator having a core with teeth and four sets of three-phase stator windings, each supplied by a respective inverter. The first and third windings are energized with the same amplitude and phase, as are the second and fourth windings, with a predetermined phase difference between these groups. The stator windings are arranged to form first, second, and third coil bodies for each phase, wound around respective teeth. By setting a combined phase difference between the magnetomotive forces or currents of partial windings on the third tooth within a predetermined range including 20 electrical degrees.
