A personalized cheek rest system for a firearm is provided. A pouch is configured for attachment to a firearm stock, and a bead sac containing a thermoplastic bead material is provided for placement in the pouch. To create a personalized fit, the bead sac is heated until the thermoplastic material becomes pliable, and is then placed within the pouch. The pouch is then affixed to the firearm stock. The user then presses a portion of his or her face against the pouch, which molds the pliable material to their unique facial anatomy. Upon cooling, the thermoplastic material hardens, retaining the molded shape, and thus provides a custom cheek weld for improved sighting consistency. Various embodiments may include designs for use with stocks on buffer tube-style firearms. Variants may include a design with improved charging handle clearance. A saddle mounting platform can adapt the system to standard rifle and shotgun stocks.
