Abstract

A two-stage Doherty power amplifier is provided. The two-stage Doherty power amplifier includes a drive amplification circuit, a Doherty amplification circuit including a carrier amplifier and a peaking amplifier, and a network circuit arranged between the drive amplification circuit and the Doherty amplification circuit. The network circuit includes an output matching circuit for the drive amplification circuit, a power distribution circuit for distributing an output of the drive amplification circuit to each of the carrier amplifier and the peaking amplifier, a first input matching circuit for the carrier amplifier, and a second input matching circuit for the peaking amplifier. The power distribution circuit is configured to provide a phase difference of a specified magnitude in a first direction. Each of the first input matching circuit and the second input matching circuit is configured to provide the phase difference of the specified magnitude in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
